Privacy Notice – Visitors to the Atlas CCS Website

Atlas CCS Limited Partnership (“Atlas”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of individuals who visit our website (the “Website” or “Atlas Website”). This Privacy Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the purposes for which it is processed, and the rights available to you. We collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where personal information is transferred across provincial or national borders in the course of our commercial activities (for example, where we use service providers that process information outside Alberta), the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply to those activities. PIPA and PIPEDA are collectively referred to throughout this Privacy Notice as the “Privacy Laws” where distinguishing between the two serves no meaningful purpose.

Special Notice - if you are under 16 years old. Processing children’s personal information
Except in those cases where Atlas organizes educational events specifically designed for children, we do not intentionally collect personal information of individuals under 16 years old. If you are under 16 years old, please do not send us your personal information for example, your name, address and email address. If you wish to contact us in a way which requires you to submit your personal information (such as for education or innovation events) please get your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf.
What personal information do we collect about you?
When you visit the Website, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Information collected automatically
We automatically collect limited technical information to operate, secure, and improve the Website, including:

What is our legal basis for collection?

- Your express consent when you voluntarily submit information through a contact form

Who is responsible for any personal information collected?
Atlas and Shell Canada Products (as service provider operating the Website for and on behalf of Atlas), each with their registered office at 4000, 500 Centre Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2G 1A6, are each independently responsible for the collection, use, disclosure and safeguarding of personal information in their respective custody and control. Where Atlas transfers your personal information to its affiliates or partners, as outlined in this Privacy Notice, those organizations are then independently responsible for any personal information in their custody and control.
Who do we disclose your personal information to?
We may disclose personal information only when necessary and appropriate, and where there is a legitimate business purpose to do so:
a. Service providers
We may use trusted third-party service providers (e.g., website hosting, analytics tools) to support Website operations. These providers only access personal information as needed to perform their services and are contractually required to protect it. Shell Canada Products is one such service provider.
b. Transfers outside Canada
Service providers may be located in other jurisdictions. In such cases, your personal information may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. Atlas uses contractual and organizational measures to ensure appropriate protection.
c. Legal or regulatory disclosure
We may disclose personal information to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, or government requests.
d. Affiliates and Partners
Atlas is a limited partnership comprised of separate legal entities, each of which have their own corporate affiliates. To perform the services of the Website and the larger Atlas venture, Atlas may share your personal information with other corporate entities or parties within the Atlas CCS Limited Partnership, or their affiliates, where necessary.
We do not sell personal information.
How long do we retain your personal information?
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, including:

- Analytics data: retained according to the standard retention periods of our service providers
- Inquiry-related communications: retained as needed to address the inquiry and maintain appropriate business records
