The first phase of Atlas will provide permanent underground storage for CO\u003Csub\u003E2\u003C/sub\u003E emissions generated in the Alberta Industrial Heartland region.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to Atlas, Shell also announced FID for Polaris, a carbon capture project at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park, Scotford in Alberta, Canada.
